The Dark Knight Rises with Catwoman and Bane

For a character that’s based off of The Shadow, it’s crazy to see how much more successful Batman has become in recent decades. This current trilogy of films is one of the most successful in the film industry.
It looks like this third film The Dark Knight Rises will re-introduce some great villains in the Batman universe: Bane and Catwoman. Catwoman has greatly evolved over the years. My favorite version is Michelle Pfeiffer’s in 1992′s Batman Returns. I’m very curious to see how Anne Hathway pulls it off.
Bane will be played by Tom Hardy. This character should be pretty cool to check out as I’m sure he’ll appear even more menacing and powerful than he did in the 1997 Batman and Robin film.
Hopefully one day soon The Shadow will return and teach Batman a thing or two about crime fighting and box office returns. I mean lets face it when you use two guns, you should be able to kill your enemy a lot quicker than with a utility belt.
The Green Hornet Wins at the Box Office

Although it’s not The Shadow, The Green Hornet has its roots in the old time radio era. As a fellow homie to The Shadow I think it’s great to see The Green Hornet taking in $40 million in its opening weekend (remember The Shadow 1994 film took in $11.7 million during its opening weekend). What I hope this proves is the idea that bringing back The Shadow into feature film format can work and be successful as well, as long as its produced in both 2D and 3D formats like The Green Hornet was. 
Still we have no idea how well The Green Hornet will do in the long term, but I can’t see many other action packed movies that are going to be popping up within the next several weeks that will persuade movie goers to see them. The Green Hornet should be a clear choice to people who want explosions and comedy in their movie going experience (hey The Shadow 1994 was supposed to be like that as well).

Several years ago I was faced with a decision, keep the StuffWeLike.com website or TheShadowFan.com website alive. I could not continue to run both websites as it grew too expensive.
As you might have guessed I decided to keep StuffWeLike.com with the idea of bringing back TheShadowFan.com as soon as I could. Well that time is now!
I’ll write up some posts from time to time whenever I receive word about on the relaunch of The Shadow or fan activity. So until that point enjoy learning about The Shadow via my many archived pages.
